Firenze into the Chianti region and southwards to Sienna; Tuscany part 2

We rolled out of Florence (actually we rolled into Florence and then slowly climbed up the steep slopes that line the Arno River up to Piazza Michelangelo and beyond to the city limits). The day was beautiful and we were thankful for sunshine and blossoms bringing signs of spring to the hills of Chianti. We stayed at a guesthouse we found through Airbnb in Greve in Chianti, with views of a Castle and vineyards surrounding us, what more could we ask for? A little pizza and some vino we were as happy as could be.
The next day we were off to Sienna, a great day of riding to our campground and then into town to check out the sights. Another beautiful city, and Sienna is known for it's Piazza, so there we went to hang out and chill like everyone else. Sienna is also known for it's famous horse race they do twice a year around the Piazza, Crazy! these Italians. The duomo was one of the most beautiful we have seen.
The next day we took a bus to San Gimignano and Wow, this city is so pristine! Very old yet clean and artsy, with painters, harp players and guitarists in the parks and some really yummy gelato.
Back to Sienna for some more Piazza sitting and a beer, then back to camp for Pasta. Even the store bought pasta (fresh) here is amazing!
The next day it was time to get on the bikes again and head out. The weather has been a little wet and so we are never really sure how far we can go. It was beautiful, and hilly and now I know why our guide book calls it the "hill town trek". We ended up at an Agrotourismo, which is a farmhouse with rooms, needless to say the inclement weather has scuttled most of our camping plans, but we count on more camping friendly weather in April and May.
