If you're going to turn 50 you might as well do it in Venice!

If you're going to turn 50 you might as well do it in Venice! Of coarse we had an amazing time in Venice and absolutely fell in love with it! The best part about Venice is that it is a walking city, no cars or scooters (and no bikes either, but we were happy to park them for a few days and hoof it).

We arrived by ferry and negotiated through the streets, up and over the foot bridges and finally to our hotel where we would leave the bikes for three days while exploring. There was a moment when I was a bit overwhelmed by all the people but as soon as you get off the main streets and squares it is quiet and quaint. In fact the best way to see Venice is to do just that, get lost and wonder your way through it.

Spending my birthday in Venice was really amazing, thanks to Darryl for making everything perfect, from the gondolier ride on the canals to a wonderful dinner and then the Venice jazz club, what a night! Thanks to all the friends that sent in video clips with birthday wishes to my friend Anna that put it all together and had it to me for my birthday! So awesome!

What else can I say,
Tutto Magnifico!
